I am within the final few months completing my MSc in Sport and Exercise Therapy. I am ITMMiF qualified, a professional S&C Coach gaining my ASCC Accreditation from UKSCA and I am a Performance Coach within multiple sports.
I am a current GB level Age Group Athlete in both Triathlon and Duathlon having also qualified for the Ironman World Championships.
I coach and manage both professional and amateur Athletes for the past 6 years. I am dedicated in guiding Athletes to their capable potential and achieve their dream goals. I also provide strength and rehabilitation based programmes for Athletes who are injured so we can return you back to play as safely and efficiently as possible, yet stronger!
Over the past 15 years I have held various professional positions in elite level sport and, I have also competed at an elite level. I have been very fortunate to have held Strength & Conditioning (S&C) Coaching roles at Leeds Rhinos, Bradford Bulls and Scotland Rugby. I was also named on the regional coaching team as an S&C Coach for British Triathlon. I have served as a Royal Marine and competed in many Marathons, Triathlons and several Ironman Triathlons. Everyone who has a goal will require a structured training programme and consistent feedback to get there. In 2019 I set myself my own; to compete in Great Britain Age Group Triathlon Team at the World Championships. Following the 2020 year and race season (that we shall all never forget), my qualifiers were pushed back to 2021 season where I have qualified for both the GB Age Group Teams for the European & World Championships in 'both' Duathlon and Triathlon. I opened my facility in 2011 and I have worked with individual Athletes, groups and Teams throughout this time.

My Tier 2 Coaching option allows Athletes more flexibility in their week. This support option is for you if you are either; struggling to fit training time in amongst a busy week. You are happy with your current training week but you would like guidance to drive performance, or you simply would like a Coach but at more of an affordable option.

HOW DO I START?
STEP 1
An in-depth Athlete questionnaire that will help Steve to get to know you, what goals you aspire to and also to assess your exercise history. This information will allow Steve to plan a starting point and give you any specific testing criteria to be carried out to establish your training zones, training loads and understand how you perform as one of our Online Athletes.
STEP 2
Upon receiving your questionnaire, Simply complete the form and select a date to schedule your face to face zoom call, where you will chat through your goals, motivations and your available training environments so we can agree a plan of action and establish your starting point as one of our Online Athletes.
STEP 3
This is where Steve does his thing. You will have been given the simple steps to download and sign up to the Coaching app (TrainingPeaks). Once you are all set up, Steve shall then request you as one of his Athletes and get to work adding your training sessions in to your weekly calendar.
STEP 4
Steve (Coach) will be in touch with you almost everyday. Checking in on how you are doing and following up your feedback scores and comments you leave after each training session At the end of each week, Steve will assess how the week has gone and run over the next planned week of sessions with you over a face-to-face online meeting.

I’m a complete beginner - can you help me?Yes. If you have a goal and would like structured and managed support, then I’m here to help and back you all the way

I don’t have a lot of time in a given week, but I’d like some coaching - can you help me?Yes. If you are tight on time and do not have a lot of time to fit in training then my Part Time Coaching option would best suit your needs

I’m purely interested in gym training - can you help me?Yes. I am a certified Strength & Conditioning Coach and I have worked in both the Professional and International standards in a variety of sports

Can I just do an Ironman with minimal training?In a nutshell, yes - but I would strongly advise you don’t just rock up! However, within your Coaching process, we would need to understand ‘what’ position you are currently at in terms your ability and gauge a realistic time frame moving forwards towards completing your first Ultra Triathlon.

How many training sessions a week will I have to do?We will work together to figure out what goals you have and what timeframe we have before your first event. From this, we will then be able to work out and plan a realistic training week for you to manage.
